On the other hand, the Ultimate Eat list rates the top 500 culinary adventures worldwide. The best meals were chosen by a group of culinary critics, chefs, and tourism authorities. Chef Adam Liaw then evaluated the decisions.

Several lesser-known foodie attractions are included in the eat category. The greatest surprise on the list was the Scottish Borders. A fishing community close to St Abbs is characterized as being in a charming but isolated area overlooked by the Highlands. Various exotic food, including the always well-liked Malta, were also featured in the eat category. Similarly, the gastronomic advice suggested the Japanese city of Fukuoka.
